Zeebrugge is a district of Bruges, the place is on the North Sea coast and is one of the largest Belgian ports.

Zeebrugge actually belongs together with the town of Zwankendamme Lissewege, since 1971 part of Bruges. The 235 km long gas pipeline ends in Zeebrugge Interconnector, through which natural gas has been transported from Great Britain to the grid on the European continent since 1998. An 814 km long gas pipeline also leads to the port from Norway. There is a large wind turbine park on the right-hand embankment.
