background

Åndalsnes is a small, very touristy place on the Isfjord, a tributary of the Romsdalsfjord in western Norway. Due to the location at the end of the scenic route of the Raumabahn, the possibility of arriving via the Trollstigen and the proximity to those very popular with climbers Trollveggen, a wall in the Trolltinden mountain range, the place is very attractive to very different groups of travelers. Cruise ships also often dock in the port.

The city is due to the nearby Trolltinden, the Home of the trolls, a city dominated by troll figures everywhere.
