The Republic of Chechnya (Russian: Чеченская) is a federal subject of the Russia, on the country's border with Georgia, in the North Caucasus. Most of the inhabitants of the area are Chechens and Russians. The capital of Chechnya is Grozny.

History
The history of Chechnya is full of riots and wars. We are all familiar with the war in the 1990s between the Russians and the Chechen separatists, which eventually led to the complete subjugation of Chechnya to Russia.
