Pavlodar - Παβλοντάρ

Pavlodar is a city in northeastKazakhstan. It is the capital of the Pavlodar region and has a population of 318,000 (January 2009).

Air Astana flights are available from Astana and Almaty and from S7 from Moscow.

It is connected by road with Astana via the A17 road and just after the village of Sinderti via the P4. It is also connected by road to Ekimbastuz and all the major cities of Kazakhstan as well as to Omsk and Russia.

From Astana there are several buses every day. There are also bus routes from Omsk, Russia. Regional and long-distance buses are available from most nearby cities.

There is a night train from Astana. There is also a connection from Astana via Astana and Semey. Via Astana, trains run daily and from Semipalatinsk (Semey) every other day.

How to move

Within the city, there are many options for moving around the city. There is a bus and minibus system as well as a tram system. Taxis are available in most of the city for 350 tenge (2012 prices). The outermost areas usually cost 400 to 450 tenge.

The nightlife is quite active in Pavlodar. There are several nightclubs that play mostly kid and house music, but almost all have an '80s or' 90s night every week. Most cost 1000 tenge to get in:
