- Carthage (Carthage, prof. Cartagena) - An important port from the years of the Roman Empire. It was then known as "Carthago Nova" (New Carthage). According to tradition, the founder of the city was the Carthaginian general Asdrúbal (Asdrúbal), son-in-law of the famous recruiter Hannibal.
- Caravaca de la Cruz - Medieval city dominated by the castle of Santa Cruz (of the Holy Cross).
