Other destinations
Orheiul Vechi Monastery. The complex is carved into a huge limestone cliff, this wild, rocky and remote place is one of Moldova's most fascinating sights. Excavated by Orthodox monks in the 13th century, this cave monastery has not been destroyed by commercial development, but sometimes local children will provide you with their carvings.
