Area
Many tourists will never pass through the sights of the city center, but you haven't really seen Chicago until you venture into this neighborhood. Chicagoans divide their city into large "flanks" in the north, west, and south of the central business district (loop). Chicagoans also tend to strongly identify with their neighbors, reflecting the true differences in the culture and place of the entire city. The competition between the North and the South is fierce, and people from the West are free agents on key issues such as baseball loyalty.
