Čierna nad Tisou is a city of Eastern Slovakia.

Čierna nad Tisou is located in the south-eastern corner of the Slovakia at the borders with Hungary and theUkraine. The city was founded in the late 1940s after the border changed between the Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union and still today has only its station and customs activities as its sole economic activity.
To go
You only have reason to go to Čierna nad Tisou if you want to go to Ukraine by train. The city is the only rail crossing point for passengers between Slovakia and Ukraine. A train leaves and comes from Kosice every two hours and he has 3 three trains a day for Tchop 5 kilometers east on the other side of the border. The evening train also has direct cars for Lviv, Kiev and Moscow. The nearest pedestrian and cyclist border post and Veľké Selmence. For vehicles, you have to go through Zahony in Hungary or Uzhhorod.
