Agno TI (German outdated: Eng, in lmo. dialect: IPA: [aɲ] 
) is a Swiss Municipality in the canton Ticino and is because of the Lugano airport one of the most important towns in the Malcantone.

The localities (ital.: Comuni), Parliamentary groups (ital.: Frazioni) and hamlet (ital.: Borgate) of the municipality of Agno are Agno, Cassina, Mondonico and Serocca. Agno is located on Lake Lugano (ital.: Lago Ceresio).

By plane
The airport is located in the municipal area 1 Lugano airport
(IATA: LUG). However, there are only a few seasonal connections here.
The next relevant commercial airport is the Milan Malpensa Airport(IATA: MXP), about 70 km south with a train connection via Lugano.
By train
The 2 Agno train station is on the narrow-gauge railway line of the FLP, the Lugano With Ponte Tresa connects. The half-hourly cycle is condensed during rush hour. In Lugano there are good connections to the IC and EC of the Gotthard line (Milan-Bellinzona-Lucerne or Zurich). Attention !: the FLP Lugano train station and the SBB train station Lugano are spatially separated by a street that you have to cross to get from one train station to the other.

The former priory church of Santi Giovanni e Provino, was built in 1760 on the site of a previous building. A dome spans the central building. The neo-classical facade was built at the end of the 19th century.
