Aigen-Schlägl is the northern terminus of the Mühlkreisbahn, which begins in Linz and is operated by ÖBB. Trains run several times a day from Linz-Urfahr to Aigen-Schlägl and back. The railway line is very beautiful and romantic, for example in the valley of the Große Mühl.

Aigen-Schlägl is the northern end of the

above Rohrbach. Coming from the Czech Republic there are some road connections, but coming from the larger cities you have to either cross the Vltava reservoir by ferry or take a long walk around it. There is a detour via the main roads via Phillipsreuth or Krumlov.
