Attard is a community in Western District on the island Malta. Along with the places Balzan and Lija the place forms the "Three Villages".

The "three villages" at the transition between the capital region around Valletta and rural Malta have developed strongly as a preferred residential area in the last few decades, with Attard in particular developing rapidly from a village to an urban agglomeration.

The community is named after the builder of the Wignacourt aqueduct Giovanni Attard. Here outside the city walls around the capital originated in the 16th century. a parish church and residences of knights of the Order of St. John, the Sant 'Anton Palace, built in 1623 under Antoine de Paule, with the associated park is the most important of them.

In 1994 Attard was raised to a regional authority with its own administration, as part of the municipal reform it has its own "Local Council". The community also includes the new national stadium in Ta'Qali as the venue for international football matches.
