The Swiss Autobahn 12 (A 12) leads from Vevey at the Lake Geneva above Bull FR and the city Freiburg in Üechtland/ Friborg over a length of around 80 km to Bern. It also forms part of Europastrasse 27.

The autobahn was much earlier than the A1 between Bern and Lausanne Completed and therefore took up traffic between the Central Plateau and Lake Geneva for years.
