- Araruama - It has the greatest variety and diversity of beaches in the entire Lakeland.
- Armação dos Búzios - One of the most sought after locations by both Brazilian and foreign elite tourists.
- Arraial do Cabo - Ideal for diving. Ecotourism is the basis of the local economy.
- Cabo Frio - Well known for its tourist attractions, such as Praia do Forte.
- Casimiro de Abreu - Rivers, waterfalls and the sea are its great attractions, especially in the Barra de São João neighborhood.
- Rio das Ostras - Featuring beautiful beaches, including Praia da Tartaruga, Praia do Centro, Praia do Bosque and Costa Azul.
- Saquarema - It has large beaches well equipped for the practice of various sports and is known as the "Brazilian capital of surfing".
- São Pedro da Aldeia - On its territory there is the air-naval base of São Pedro da Aldeia, the only one of its kind in all of Brazil.
