Barranco is a city in Toledo District in Belize.

Barranco is the oldest Garifuna settlement in Belize. The approximately 200 inhabitants belong to 100% of the Garifuna culture. Many important artists (e.g. Andy Palacio) of this culture come from this village.
getting there
In the street
The journey takes place from Punta Gorda (Belize) always towards San Antonioto then turn left at Mafredi (about 6 km after leaving the Southern Highway) in the direction of Blue Creek and to turn into Barranco. Follow this road / path to the end to the coast. There is Barranco.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at noon there is a bus from Punta Gorda (Belize) to Barranco, who arrived from Barranco in the morning.
By boat
In Punta Gorda (Belize) boats can be rented with which one is much faster in Barranco.
