Punta Gorda (Belize) is a city in Belize in the Toledo District.

Founded by Garifuna in 1832, this 5000-inhabitant city is the capital of the Toledo District. Half of the population belongs to the Garifuna culture and until 1992 there was a British base here. The majority of the population actually only speaks of "PG".

getting there

By plane

PG has an airport that runs several times a day from Tropic Air[1] and Maya Island Air[2] is approached.

By bus
