Mountain freedom is a small village in Kellerwald. Who likes it quiet is in that too Bad Wildungen belonging place correctly. The Urft valley and the low mountain range invite you to go on hiking and cycling tours.

About the name "Berg Freiheit": The Count of Waldeck founded the place around 1560 for the mining of ore. He gave the place mountain freedom. This gave the residents special privileges such as tax exemption, exemption from military service, market rights and their own jurisdiction.

- Location:1 The ruin is located near Oberurff-Schiffelborn approx. 5 km east of Berg Freiheit. On a quiet country road you can drive or cycle through the Urft valley to the ruins.
