Bietlenheim is a small village of 280 inhabitants located in the department of Bas-Rhin, in Alsace, at 20 km in the north of Strasbourg. It belongs to the canton of Brumath and to the district of Strasbourg-Campagne. The inhabitants of Bietlenheim are called Bietlenheimois.

The village is at the heart of a beautiful market gardening area, ideal for bike rides between the fields.

TheProtestant church of Bietlenheim was built in 1835.

The it was decided to set up a treaty by mutual agreement for the construction of an organ. The contract was signed between Mr Conrad Jean-Georges, mayor of the municipality, and Mr Wetzel, organ builder of Strasbourg.

The organ has a case in good and solid beech wood, varnished; it has a box spring also made of good beech wood with 54 valves for the hand keyboard and 17 for the pedal.

The organ includes the following sets: - 8-foot watch, the 8 lowest fir wood pipes and the net in good pewter - 4-foot pewter-piece - 8-foot solicional, the lowest wooden octave of fir, the rest in pewter - Bourdon 8 feet in fabric, the lowest octave in fir wood - Flute crosses 8 feet in fabric, the lowest octave leading in the watch - Chimney flute 4 feet in fabric - Doublette 2 pewter feet and a tremblant
