Bike and Ride facilities are located in almost every country in the world at local and long-distance public transport stations. Bike racks / bike hangers

Take it with you on public transport
Germany
Bicycles can usually be taken on local railway trains (S-Bahn, RB, RE, IRE), long-distance trains IC / EC, RJ, NJ and sometimes in ICE trains (ICE 4 and ICE T sets), in U -Trains, sometimes in city buses, regional buses and long-distance buses as well as on ferries. Bike sharing
- Bike sharing is a way of renting bicycles for short periods of time and short distances, especially in large cities.

Practical advice
- When parking bicycles at B R systems, as when parking them in other places, attention should be paid to theft protection by coding the bicycles and using secure locks. In addition, no valuables should be left behind.
- It happens that bike-and-ride systems are used for other purposes as a junkyard. The municipalities remove bicycles that have been parked for too long, colloquially known as "bicycle corpses", after prior notice by sticking notice slips on the bicycles in question. Users can also report bicycle corpses to the operators, i.e. the municipalities or transport companies. In order to prevent misunderstandings, it is advisable to use alternating parking spaces if the same bike-and-ride facility is used continuously.
