The Frankfurt am Main long-distance bus station (also ZOB Frankfurt am Main) is a bus station of the inner-German as well as the international long-distance bus services in downtown the Hessian Big city Frankfurt am Main.

The long-distance bus station has 14 bus platforms and was fully opened on April 9, 2019, in 2016 it was partially opened with three bus platforms, which, however, were not passable due to construction work until they were fully opened, so the long-distance buses had to be at the stops in the street area until they were fully opened on Stuttgarter Strasse and Mannheimer Strasse. All 14 bus platforms have been open since the opening on April 9, 2019, but the service facilities and waiting areas on the ground floor of the Intercity Hotel, which was newly built in December 2018, and which can be reached via the south-facing entrance of the building, have not yet opened. The Intercityhotel can be reached by hotel guests via the entrance to the north of the building. In addition to the 14 bus platforms on the premises of the Frankfurt am Main long-distance bus station, there are other long-distance bus stops in front of the main train station Eurolines Further bus stops are located on Frankfurt Airport, Terminal 2.

With public transport

The long-distance bus station is located immediately south of the Central Station, which can be reached quickly on foot. All lines of the S-Bahn Rhein-Main as well as the lines U4 and U5 of the Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt (VGF) as well as their tram lines 11, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 21 and some run here City and regional buses. The tram stops are also near the long-distance bus station Baseler Platz and Central station south side.

By car

  • The car park Hauptbahnhof Südseite / ZOB Frankfurt is located on the ZOB premises, entry and exit is possible via Stuttgarter Straße.
  • The Intercityhotel am ZOB Frankfurt has a public underground car park.
  • There is an underground car park at the station forecourt, at the eastern entrance and exit of the main train station.

All three parking garages are open 24 hours a day and are subject to a charge. An inexpensive and environmentally friendly alternative to traveling by car are the Park and ride facilities on the outskirts of Frankfurt, which are either free of charge or have significantly cheaper parking fees, from there you can use the Frankfurt public transport Arrive to the central bus station.

By bicycle

A bike-and-ride facility for parking bicycles is located in the basement of the car park Hauptbahnhof Südseite / ZOB, which can be reached via Stuttgarter Straße, and there is also a bicycle workshop there.

  • The Postbank is on the cross platform of the main train station, at the north exit.

  • The closest pharmacy is located in the main station, on the mezzanine (B-level) at the entrance to the platforms of the S-Bahn and the Hauptbahnhof underground station.
  • The Station mission Frankfurt am Main is open every day around the clock and can be reached via the entrances Mannheimer Straße 4 and from platform 1 in the main station.

There are currently no public toilets on the premises of the ZOB Frankfurt, the closest public toilet is in the main train station.

A Flixmobility customer office is located at the ZOB as well as a Eurolines customer office in Mannheimer Straße.

There are currently no lockers in the ZOB, the closest public locker facility is in the main train station.

Waiting

Currently (as of December 2020) the ZOB has four weather shelters in front of the Parking garage south side of the main station on the ZOB premises, seating on the ZOB premises near Stuttgarter Straße and a covered waiting room in front of the Intercityhotel building, where in the future there will be sanitary facilities, customer offices for long-distance bus companies and heated waiting areas, lockers and vending machines on the ground floor.

WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS

Free WiFi will be available after the opening of the service facilities and waiting areas on the ground floor of the InterCityHotel.
