Bir Dikkar or Bir ed-Dikkar (also Bir Dikker, Arabic:بئر دكار, „Fountain of the [male] palm“) Is a source along the old Caravan route of el-Farāfra to ed-Dāchla, about 45 kilometers southeast of the city Farāfra.
getting there
You can only get there with an all-terrain four-wheel drive vehicle or a camel.
Tourist Attractions
Bir Dikkar is a fresh water spring. On the edge there are palm trees and undergrowth. Tamarisks and acacias grow at the foot of the neighboring limestone cliffs.
Nearby, in the direction of ed-Dachla, there is also a sand dune, the Ghurd ed-Dikkar.
