Ba Na Da Nang is a tourist area in Da Nang with majestic scenery and cool climate. At the top of this mountain, the temperature is always lower than in Da Nang. During the French colonial period, the French built resort facilities here. There is currently a cable car route to the top of the mountain.

History
Continuation of discovery and construction Da LatIn February 1900, Governor-General of Indochina Paul Doumer sent Captain Debay of the French Army to scout the mountains surrounding the Da Nang - Hue area to look for more places to rest, recuperate and cure diseases. Ba Na, the climate is similar to Da Lat. In 1912, the Governor General of Indochina issued a decree to turn Ba Na into a forestry reserve, the study of this mountain range was promoted and the first guesthouse was built in 1919.
According to French statistics in 1925, only about 120 tourists choose Ba Na to rest. After the road to the top of the mountain was completed, the number of new visitors gradually increased, by 1937 it had reached more than 1,000 people, mostly French and Vietnamese officials. Services such as electricity, water, hospitals, post offices, banks, hotels... have been put into service for tourists. Ba Na gradually became a famous resort not only in Central Vietnam but also in the whole Indochina Peninsula. In 1938, Ba Na was included in an 8-day tour by the Indochina Tourism Department by car Saigon - Da Lat - Nha Trang - Quy Nhon - Danang - Hue - Vinh - Hanoi - Hai Phong and vice versa. The palanquin is considered an interesting and typical means of transportation for ancient Ba Na tourism with the same number of tourists as other resorts at that time. After the August Revolution of 1945, Ba Na gradually deserted people, the resort gradually fell into disrepair and was covered by forest trees in oblivion for nearly half a century. In early 1998, the People's Committee of Da Nang city decided to rebuild Ba Na into a large-scale eco-tourism area with a system of motels, restaurants, conservation areas... The road from the foot of the mountain 15 km long Ba Na peak has been paved, convenient for traffic. After 2000, Ba Na was awakened and re-established as a tourist town and quickly returned to the position of one of the most famous tourist areas of Da Nang city.
Climate
This mountain range has a tropical climate with an average annual temperature of about 15-20oC, the highest is only 22-25oC, and at night, the average temperature at night is about 15-17oC.
Ecological
Ba Na has great ecological and tourist values. The higher the altitude, the lower the temperature and the higher the humidity.
- The flora is diverse and unique with about 136 families, 379 genera and more than 543 species (251 species of medicinal plants).
- Fauna: 256 species of vertebrates (61 species of mammals, 178 species of birds and 17 species of reptiles)
In 1986, Ba Na was recognized by the Government as a nature reserve, protected object and a tropical forest containing many rare and precious plants and animals that need to be protected such as agarwood, mahogany, cycads, and pine. man, star pheasant, Asian black bear, hung-cheeked gibbon... Ba Na has many primeval forests distributed along rather steep slopes.

Linh Ung Pagoda
Completed on March 5, 2004, the pagoda has many similarities with Tam Thai Pagoda (Ngu Hanh Son), in particular, the temple has a 27 m high white Buddha statue. Around the base of the statue, there are 8 faces representing the 8 stages of Buddha's life. The temple also has the Deer Garden - where the Buddha preached for the first time.
Resorts
On Ba Na mountain, the resort areas of French soldiers have appeared since the early 20th century but now exist through the ruins in the middle of the forest, today, the villas, motels have been rebuilt and appeared in resorts: Ba Na by night, Le Nim, Hoang Lan Villa, ...
Spring apricots
When taking the Ba Na Cable Car to go to the top of Vong Nguyet, many visitors can look down and see Mo stream flowing below. In summer, Mo stream becomes very crowded with tourists because it has a 9-storey Toc Tien waterfall that looks like a fairy's hair.
Ba Na Cable Car - Chua Mountain
The construction work on a total of 30 hectares was built by Ba Na Cable Car Service Joint Stock Company in 2007 with the following items: departure and arrival station connecting from An Loi to Vong Nguyet peak, technical area , operator, and ancillary works. Total investment capital is more than 300 billion VND.

From the top of Ba Na mountain, to the west is the Truong Son range, to the east is the Hoa Vang rice field. From here, visitors can easily see Son Tra peninsula, Thu Bon river, Hoi An, in the inner city of Da Nang.
