Entry requirements
Since June 2013, Canton, like few other Chinese cities, allows a stop over of 72 hours to visit the city without the need for a visa for the China. This possibility is valid only for transit flights and not for flights in which the city of departure and final destination coincide. It is also not applicable when traveling by train. The requirements are: regular final destination visa (when necessary) and a ticket certifying departure from Canton within 72 hours. It is important to know that you cannot leave the city during these 72 hours.

The Canton Tower resumed in the year of its construction (2007)
- King Nanyue Museum and Mausoleum (Yuexiu district). The museum was built in 1988 on the site where five years earlier the tomb of Zhao Mon was accidentally discovered, the second exponent of the Nanyue dynasty who ruled southern China in the third century BC. The rich funeral equipment is now exhibited in the museum.

- Temple of the Luminous Filial Piety (guāng-xiào-yes), 109 Guangxiao Road (Metro 1 Ximenkou). Hui Neng, the 6th patriarch of Zen Buddhism, studied there. The temple is neglected today
- Temple of the Five Immortals (wǔ-xiān-guān), Huifu West Road (Metro 1 Ximenkou). Ming era (14th century) the temple is dedicated to the gods who promote good harvest. It underwent a complete restoration around the year 2,000
- Huaisheng Mosque, 56 Guangta Road (Metro 1 Ximenkou). Entry is not permitted for non-Muslims
- Sanyuan Temple (sān-yuán-gōng), Yingyuan Road (Metro 2 Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall). The oldest and largest Taoist temple in Canton
- Hualin Temple (huá-lín-yes), Metro 1 Changshou Lu. Inside are innumerable golden statues of the Buddha
