Chūbu (中部) is a region of Japan.
To know
"Chūbu" means central region, alluding to its position, between Kantō is Kansai. Often ignored by foreign tourists, Chūbu's attractions are usually in the mountains, including the most famous, the Mount Fuji and the Japanese Alps.

How to get
By plane
Chubu Centrair International Airport is located on an artificial island 30 minutes south of Nagoya. The largest cities in the region have an airport with planes that only make domestic flights.
On the train
The Tokaiso Shinkansen cuts the Tokai into two parts, connecting Tokyo east ed Osaka is Kyoto West. Nagano, Toyama and Kanazawa can be reached from Tokyo via the Hokuriku Shinkansen.

What see
