Champéry is a Swiss Municipality in the canton Valais.

The commune of Champéry belongs to the Monthey district and belongs to the region Chablais.
It lies at the end of the Val d'Illiez, at the foot of the Dents du Midi.
The time as a tourist destination began in 1857 with the opening of the Hotel Dents du Midi. This makes it one of the oldest tourist destinations in Switzerland.

In the street
The A9 motorway can be left at the St. Triphon or Bex exit and then via Monthey into the Val d'Illiez.
By train
The narrow-gauge cogwheel railway Chemin de fer Aigle-Ollon-Monthey-Champéry, which is now under the umbrella of the Transports Publics du Chablais, ends in Champéry. In Aigle there is a connection to the express trains of the Simplon line. While in Monthey there are rather poor connections to long-distance traffic.

In the municipality of Champéry there is 1 cable car, 14 chair lifts and 26 drag lifts, which lead to Planachaux and Pointe-des-Mosettes, Pauvre-Condie and Pas-de-Condie. Around 100 km (of 650 km) of the cross-border ski area Portes du Soleil are in the municipal area. Which leads via Pas de Chavanette to the French ski station Avoriaz.
