Chiavari is a city of Liguria.
To know
It gave birth to the fathers of Nino Bixio, Giuseppe Mazzini and Giuseppe Garibaldi, who, after the cession of Nice to France, became a citizen of Chiavari by virtue of his family origins; this allowed him to remain an Italian citizen.
The Chiavari chair is produced there. It is the city of Virtus Entella, a Serie B football team.
Geographical notes
The city overlooks the Ligurian Sea of the Riviera di Levante, geographically positioning itself at the center of the gulf of Tigullio, east of Genoa.
The urban core is located to the right of the Entella river, which flows here at the end of the alluvial plain, dividing the city to the east from the adjacent Blackboard; the city is also crossed by the Rupinaro stream in the westernmost area of the municipal territory and by other smaller canals.
