Chiclana de la Frontera is a city in Andalusia south of Cadiz.
background
On the one hand, Chiclana is a health resort because of its medicinal spring "Fuente Armarga," on the other hand it is a popular bathing resort with its sandy beach "Playa la Barrosa" in the urbanization Novo Sancti Petri. With almost 15,000 hotel beds in Novo Sancti Petri, Chiclana is the center of tourism on the Costa de la Luz. A little to the south is the town, which has also been developed for tourism Conil de la Frontera.
getting there
By plane
The best way to get to Chiclana is via the airport Jerez de la Frontera (54 km, about 45 minutes). Alternatively, the airports are possible Seville (1 h 45 min), Málaga (2 h 30 min) or - only via Great Britain and therefore border and customs controls Gibraltar (1 h 30 min).
If you come from Jerez Airport by public transport, you can take the S-Bahn (cercanias) to San Fernando and change to bus M120. The total journey time is then just under two hours.
By train
