The Colored Canyon or Rainbow canyon, Arabic:اللون كانيون, al-Laun Kanyun, „the colorful canyon“, Orالوادي الملون, al-Wādī al-Mulauwan, „the colorful valley“Is a national park on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. The canyon is one of the most popular destinations in South Sinai. The rock formations were formed from differently colored layers of sandstone.
getting there
An all-terrain vehicle is required for parts of the route. As this excursion destination is operated by various travel companies in Dahab, Nuweiba and Sharm esch-Sheikh is offered, you do not need to worry about the journey and the vehicles for an organized trip. An excursion costs about $ 50.
An alternative approach is possible with a camel ride.
There are two ways to get here. The first is to the west of Nuweiba on road 37 (to Suez).
