Hook Peninsula
between the mouth of the Barrow and Bannow Bay with the John F. Kennedey Park not far from the last Irish residence of Patrick F. Kennedy, a great-grandfather of the assassinated US President.

- John F. Kennedy Arboretum. The entire facility costs entry (OPW annual ticket is valid). The park also contains attractions for children and teenagers. It is integrated into the landscape between the Hook-head and the city New Ross and suitable for longer excursions by bike or on foot.

Ferry connections

Pleasure craft
You can also arrive with your own seaworthy sports boats. Thanks to some pronounced estuary funnels, you can get quite far inland. In sailing boats with high masts, the bridge passages are in Wexford and New Ross to be observed.

- Kennedy Homestead. Last Irish residence of Patrick F. O'Kennedy, great-grandfather of the assassinated US President. You may be received by a member of the Kennedy clan.Open: October to April and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.Price: Regular admission 5 EUR.
- Lighthouse at Hook Head. With Romanesque part of the building, allegedly the oldest operating lighthouse in the British Isles.
- Irish National Heritage Park, in Wexford. Reflects the early history of Ireland.
- Dunbrody Famine Ship, in New Ross. Open: every day.
