You need to take a plane until Calama, the closest airport to Saint Peter of Atacama. From the airport, there are several transfers to São Pedro. They are vans that transport up to 15 people. They are comfortable and a little expensive, but there is no other alternative. It's about two hours of travel. It's pretty cool, because you can get familiar with the desert landscape. Arrange the day of return with the van driver still at the airport.
