Dongbei (Northeast China) - region China, which consists of three provinces: Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning, extending across the Manchuria Plain (see also: Manchuria).
Characteristic
Dongbei is recognized as different from the rest of the country due to its harsh, sub-Siberian climate as well as its history and customs. It is inhabited by a total of about 100 million people.
