Tourist Attractions
Gauss tower
- The Gauss tower on the Hohen Hagen at a height of 480 m is certainly Dransfeld's most famous landmark. The current tower, 51 m high, was completed in 1964. He replaced that old Gauss tower from 1911, which collapsed in 1963 due to blasting at the directly adjacent basalt quarry. From the tower you have a wide view over the region, to Göttingen and - with good visibility - to the resin in the east, as well as the surrounding Bramwald in the west.
