Trivia. Tower

After a large fire in 1992, in which 250 ha of the Zielonka Forest and several smaller ones were burnt, it was decided to strengthen the fire protection of the forest complex. On the top of Dziewicza Góra, in 2005, the Łopuchówko Forest Inspectorate built a fire observation tower. The tower also serves as a viewing point for tourists. The reinforced concrete tower on a circular plan with a diameter of 4 m is 40 m high. The level of the observation cabin is 33 m, and below, at a height of 30 m from the base, there is an observation deck with an extensive view of Poznan. The building was carried out by Przedsiębiorstwo Projektowo-Budowlane MCP Kopuły z Bielsko-Biała, according to the design of eng. arch. Joanna Giczali-Ochodek and inż. Andrzej Czech (information on the board placed at the entrance to the tower in situ).
