Urban centers
- Beverley - County seat of East Riding of Yorkshire.
- Bridlington - Bridlington is a smaller sea fishing port with a harbor and the city is well known for its shellfish.
- Driffield - A Bronze Age tumulus near Driffield was excavated in the 19th century; its contents are now preserved in the British Museum.
- Goole - Its port is one of the most important on the east coast ofEngland.
- Hedon - It is located about 8 km east of downtown Kingston upon Hull.
- Hessle - Hessle is home to the famous Humber Bridge, which was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II in 1981, the year it became the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world.
- Hornsea - Hornsea is a small seaside resort dating back at least to the early medieval period.
- Kingston upon Hull - The old town preserves various buildings of historical and artistic interest including the Trinity Church (14th century), Hull Trinity House and Wilberforce House, the birthplace of William Wilberforce, which is currently a museum.
- Market Weighton - In the month of May the residents go down in strata for the festival of the Giant Bradley Day, a celebration of the life and times of William Bradley.
- Pocklington - The skyline of the city is dominated by the tower of the Church of All Saints from the 15th century. The architecture of the city is a mixture of ancient and modern buildings.
- Withernsea - Its most famous building is its white lighthouse which stands 39m above Hull Road.
