Of the Autobahn 7 (Würzburg - Kassel) to the Fulda - Süd exit (near Eichenzell) or the A 66 (Frankfurt - Fulda), then towards Gersfeld (Bad Neustadt) on the B 27 and from Döllbach on the B 279 to Ebersburg. From Eichenzell approx. 15 km.

The castle ruin is the ancestral castle of the Ebersberg family and namesake for the municipality of Ebersburg. The castle tower offers a sweeping panoramic view of the Fuldaer Land and the Rhön. The key to the accessible castle tower can be obtained from the Berggasthof zur Ebersburg below. The knight adventure tour of the municipality of Ebersburg is ideal for a family outing. This begins in the Ebersburg district of Altenmühle and leads past interesting play and hands-on stations to Ebersburg and back to the starting point. Approx. 4 km with a stop for around 5 hours. For better orientation, the Ebersburg tourist information office offers a knight experience card. This is available in the Berggasthof zur Ebersburg, at the petrol station in Thalau and in the Weikardshof restaurant (near Weyhers).
