The territory Emberá lies to the east of Panama and is almost entirely provincial Darién enclosed. It borders in the northeast Kuna Yala and on Colombia.

Regions

The indigenous territory is officially called Emberá-Wounaan after the two tribes of the Embera and the Wounaan or Noanama. The tribal areas also extend to regions in Colombia.
