Tighter is a small town in the Herford district North Rhine-Westphalia.

The Widukindstadt Enger is geographically located between the Wiehengebirge in the north and the Teutoburg Forest in the south, northwest of the city Bielefeld. It was named after the Saxon Duke Wittekind, who is said to be buried here.

  • Liesbergmühle - a landmark of the city that can be seen from afar. On the 118 m high Mühlenberg you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Widukindstadt Enger and the surrounding Ravensberg hill country.
  • Sattelmeierhöfe - five of the original seven stately farms still exist. In the event of war, the owners of the farms had to provide the rulers with a saddled horse and escort them.
