There are two train stations in the municipality Ringoldingen and Erlenbach. Even Speiz-Zweisimmen regional express trains stop at Erlenbach station.

In the street

The main road number 11 leads through the village, which from Spiez through the Simmen and Saane valley and over the Col des Mosses to Aigle leads. This can be reached from Bern via the A 6 motorway, which you leave at the Spiez junction in the direction of Zweisimmen.

Tourist Attractions

The village is characterized by the characteristic Simmental wooden houses. Its village center is considered to be the best preserved in the Simmental. One leads to the church covered wooden stairs.

  • The church comes from the 10th-13th centuries Century. It was first mentioned in a document in 1228. The inside is decorated with a picture Bible. This picture Bible was created between 1420 and 1450. Christophorus on the right in front of the choir arch was created around 1300.
  • The Agensteinhaus from 1765 houses the museum of the old landscape of Lower Simmental.

The two circular routes to the lakes are located at the Chrindi middle station of the Stockhornbahn. The circular hike Chrindi - Hinterstockensee - Oberstockensee - Chrindi - takes 2h15. To the Hinterstockensee and back only 40 minutes.

In winter there is a ski lift at the Chrindel middle station of the Stockhornbahn.
