The Flinders Chase National Park is a 326 km² national park in the southwest of the Kangaroo Island in South Australia.

The park was founded in 1919.
history
In the course of time there have been repeated major forest fires in the region, most recently in 2007 when almost 200 km² were affected.

Flora and fauna
There are many koalas and kangaroos, penguins, sea birds and sea lions on the coast.
climate
The climate is cool-temperate with quite warm summers and cool winters. It can get very windy!
getting there
In the street
You can get to Cape Jervis by car ferry Penneshaw in the east of the island. The park, which is about 150 km away, can be reached by car on consistently paved, but sometimes quite winding roads.
By plane
The nearest airport is Kingscote Airport, 110 km away.

A car is strongly recommended.

- The 1 Remarkable rocks are striking rock formations directly above the roaring ocean.
- 2 Admiral Arch is a large rock arch.

There are numerous gray geese and magpies
Mammals
Echidna, wallabies, kangaroo island kangaroos and koalas are very likely to be encountered here. There are also rumored to be platypuses along the Platybus Walk.
Reptiles
The Rosenberg monitor lizard, which is rarely found in the rest of Australia, is widespread in Flinders Chase.

Camps in the park
Camping is possible at Harveys Return, Snake Lagoon, Rocky River and West Bay, reservations must be made.
Outside the park

At Remarkable Rocks you shouldn't get too close to the slope. Tourists who fell into the sea have already died here.
