The currently closed Airport Alexandria International (English: Alexandria International Airport, Arabic:مطار الإسكندرية الدولي‎, Maṭār al-Iskandarīya ad-Daulī), also El Nouzha Airport called, is 7 kilometers southeast of the egyptian city Alexandria. There's that nearby Borg El Arab Airport.

The airport, which opened in 1947, was mainly used for domestic flights and for flights to some cities in Arab countries. In 2009 around 1,140,000 passengers were handled. The airport has two runways of 1,800 and 2,200 meters in length.

The airport has been expanded and overhauled since 2011. A date for the reopening has not yet been set. Since then, air traffic has been completely over the Borg El Arab Airport settled.
