The Maastricht / Aachen airport (also Maastricht Aachen Airport) is located in the Dutch province of Limburg, about 10 kilometers northeast of Maastricht and 30 kilometers northwest of Aachen.

  • From Aachen to Maastricht: The Veolia bus route 50 connects Aachen Hbf with Maastricht NS station (Maastricht CS) twice an hour (from Aachen Hauptbahnhof 18 or 43 minutes past the hour, from Maastricht CS 16 or 48 minutes past the hour) . A day ticket costs € 5 from / to Vaals bus station, € 7 from / to Aachen main station or theater (only valid for a cross-border return trip, as well as any number of trips on the South Limburg bus network).   • From Maastricht train station to the airport: Every hour (on the hour) the local Veolia bus 59 leaves Maastricht NS Station (Maastricht CS) in the direction of Sittard to the airport Bus sold.   • From Aachen: Via the A4 / A76 motorway via Heerlen towards Antwerp. At the Kerensheide junction in the direction of Maastricht (A2 / E25) to the Maastricht Aachen Airport exit (exit 50)
  • from Belgium: Via the E314 towards Heerlen / Aachen. At the Kerensheide junction in the direction of Maastricht (A2 / E25) to the Maastricht Aachen Airport exit (exit 50)

The airport is served by Ryanair, Transavia, German Wings, Wizzair and Sky Airlines. There are flights to Alicante, Amsterdam, Faro, Girona, Milan, Mallorca, Pisa, Porto, Reus (Barcelona), Tenerife, Trapani, Valencia, Berlin, Katowice, Budapest. Also to holiday destinations in Turkey in summer.

Check in

The check-in counters in the terminal are located directly opposite the entrance. For scheduled flights (KLM & Ryanair) you should be there at least 40 minutes before departure. For charter flights at least 90 minutes before departure.

Five rental car companies are represented in the passenger building: AVIS, Budget Rent a Car, Europcar, Hertz, National Car Rental.

Park

Maastricht Airport has short-term and long-term parking zones. The entrance is next to the Mercure Hotel (behind the TOTAL petrol station). Only loading and unloading is permitted in front of the passenger building.

The parking tariffs are € 5 on P1, € 4 on P2 for one hour and € 13 on P1, € 12 on P2 for three hours. For a day you pay € 25 on P1, € 22 on P2, a week costs € 105 on P1, € 60 on P2. (As of September 6, 2013)

There are other airports within a maximum radius of 100 km: Liege airport, Cologne Bonn Airport, Düsseldorf International Airport, Eindhoven, Brussels Zaventem Airport, Brussels South Charleroi Airport. Of these, Düsseldorf and Brussels-Zaventem are the most important.
