Center in Gales Point
  • Watch manatees - The lagoons around Gales Point have one of the world's largest concentrations of manatee. Of course you can watch manatees here. There is a marked area in which there are numerous manatees every day due to the seaweed. On a sightseeing tour, the boat drives to the edge of this "hot spot" and since the water is cloudy, unfortunately, one usually only sees manatee heads appear and then submerge. Usually this short sequence is not enough for a photo.
  • Watching turtles - Depending on the season, it is possible to watch turtles laying eggs or hatching with a guide
  • watching birds - Tours to the breeding colonies in the lagoons are offered.
  • drums - In the Maroon Creole Drum School (Tel. 603/6051) it is possible to learn drums and how to make these musical instruments. The associated dances and the cultural significance are also transmitted. In just one hour of drumming lessons, the fundamental differences between the instruments are explained, simple rhythms are rehearsed and then played and improvised at the end.
  • Ben Lomond's Cave - Tours are offered to this cave system, which is not far from Gales Point. The cave is considered easy to explore and shows many stalagmites and stalactites.
  • fishing - Fishing trips by boat are also possible
  • Boating - Traditional boats so-called dorys are rented with which you can explore the lagoons on your own
