The Canton of Geneva lies in the far west of the Switzerland on the lower part of the west bank of the Lake Geneva.

The canton can be divided into three regions:

  • The part south of the Rhône
  • The part north of the Rhône
  • The exclave north of the canton, surrounded by the Canton of Vaud.
