The health resort Gohrisch is a holiday community on the plateau of Saxon Switzerland with beautiful rock formations. Attractive table mountains are the Papststein and the Gohrisch with its weather vane. It is also not far to Pfaffenstein with Barbarine, one of the landmarks of the region.

Districts
The districts of Cunnersdorf, Papstdorf and Kleinhennersdorf belong to Gohrisch:
- Papal Village - The municipality district Papstdorf is a small rural village with the famous Papststein in the region. A rock elevation that is very easy to walk on and offers a wonderful view of the Schrammsteine and the surrounding Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Climatic terrain paths are natural forest and meadow paths with different easily walkable routes that stimulate the cardiovascular system.

Gohrisch himself has no rail connection. The railway line follows the Elbe valley and has stops in Bad Schandau and Koenigstein, each approx. 4 km away. The Dresden S-Bahn stops every half hour, in Bad Schandau intercity trains Berlin - Prague and the National Park Railway (Rumburk) -Sebnitz-Bad Schandau- (Tetschen) stop every two hours. Tourist Attractions
- 1 Pope stone. (452 m) with numerous viewpoints and summit gastronomy (see below). The "normal route" from the parking lot to the rocks is a well-developed stepped path that even those with a head for heights can easily walk. This is also well lit at night. Flip-flops and high-heeled shoes are still the wrong footwear on this sometimes bumpy wooden stepped path.
- 2 Gohrisch. (440 m) - beautiful table mountain with a viewpoint. From the mountain you have a very spacious view of many peaks of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. The Gohrisch can be recognized from afar by its weather vane, which was set up in 1967. Good to know: At the eastern vantage point, a refuge offers shelter from a sudden rain shower. For the ascent of the rock you need sturdy shoes, as there are some "ladder paths". In addition to two quite easy climbs, the ascent through the Falkenschlucht is recommended for the adventurous. Not much more difficult than the other climbs, this one leads somewhat hidden through a narrow and dark crevice.
- Directions to Papststein & Gohrisch: The next parking lot for hikers is at 360 m between Papststein and Gohrisch. The 1 parking spot can be used free of charge. There is also a bus stop here.
- Pfaffenstein and Lilienstein - Both rocks are no longer part of the municipality, but can be reached on day hikes from Gohrisch. The hike to Lilienstein is the more strenuous, as you first have to descend to the Elbe.
- Katzstein south of Cunnersdorf.
- Kleinhennersdorfer Stein with its caves
- Kohlborn stone east of Papstdorf. Rather unknown rock but beautiful panoramic view to the north.

- hike - There are attractive hiking opportunities in the "Land of Stones". Incidentally, the tourist card contains the documents for a hiking certificate. Those who have conquered 5 of the 7 stones can pick up their "hiking diploma" at the tourist information office in Gohrisch. Proof of the ascent is provided by noting the altitude figures that can be found on the elevations. The information in the area of course deviates somewhat from the mountain height in the maps.
