Greece is a city in the Greater Rochester-Area in Western New York.
background
history
Until the first white settlers appeared in the 1790s, the region was populated by Algonquin and Iroquois Indians.
Greece, having previously belonged to Gates, became the Town explained. The name "Greece" was chosen to honor Greece, which was fighting for independence from Turkey during this period.
location
The Town of Greece is bounded in the north by Lake Ontario, in the east the border runs a few blocks east of Lake Ave, then on the railway line and around the Kodak grounds, from there in a straight line west to Manitou Rd, which is the western border of Greece forms.

By plane
Rochester owns an airport the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC), from which you can follow every day directly Chicago and Minneapolis - occasionally after Detroit - can fly.
By train
With Amtrak can be accessed directly from Rochester Buffalo and Niagara Falls, as well as about Syracuse, Utica, Schenectady, Poughkeepsie and Yonkers to New York City drive.

Greece and Rochester are just north of the toll road Interstate 90, the Buffalo With Syracuse, Utica, Schenectady and Albany connects.
