Urban centers

  • Qaanaaq (or Thule) - Founded in 1953, it is among the northernmost towns in the world. The country is known to have been the starting point of numerous expeditions to the North Pole.
  • Upernavik - One of the main centers of the northwestern part of Greenland located in the municipality of Qaasuitsup.

Other destinations

  • ATOW1996 - Small uninhabited island located in the Arctic ocean. It is considered the northernmost permanent strip of land in the world. The closest city is Qaanaaq.
