Guben is a city in Brandenburg at the Lusatian Neisse. On Polish Side lies Gubin.

background

The traditional old hat town lies directly on the Neisse and is divided into two "halves". To the German city of Guben and the Polish city of Gubin. Due to the effects of the fighting at the end of World War II, over 85% of the city was very badly destroyed, so that unfortunately little remains of the city's incredibly beautiful charm. After the fall of the Wall, however, parts of the old town were restored.
