Guntramsdorf is a market town in Industrial district, approx. 20 km south of Vienna.

Guntramsdorf is a neighboring municipality to Gumpoldskirchen. The two places cultivate a certain love-hate relationship, since Gumpoldskirchen is more of the noble place in the Vienna Woods, Guntramsdorf is the industrial and working-class place.

Guntramsdorf was part of Greater Vienna from 1938 to 1954.

  • 1 Parish Church of St. James am Kirchenplatz - rebuilt after being destroyed in the war in 1949-1952, architect Josef Vytiska.
  • 2 Parish Church of St. Joseph the Worker in Neu-Guntramsdorf - modern church built 1962-1965 (architect Bruno Tinhofer)
  • Vineyard chapel. Erected in 1866 in neo-Gothic style near the water pipeline path. It is integrated into a crossroads that leads from Guntramsdorf-Thallern train station to Eichkogel.
  • 3  Rectory, Möllersdorfer Strasse 1. Neoclassical building (1904-1905).
  • Garden pavilion of the former castle. High baroque, supposedly by Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt. The associated castle was demolished in 1951.
  • Concentration camp memorial. At Industriestraße 21 there is a memorial with a small open-air museum for the subcamp of the Flugmotorenwerke Ostmark. in the Industriestraße / Neudorfer Straße roundabout there is another memorial for the victims. The sculpture was created in 2007 by the local artist and HTL teacher Thomas Soretz from engine parts that were built in this concentration camp.   • District Neu-Guntramsdorf: The housing estate, built from 1938 as a plan for the National Socialist Greater Vienna, is located north of the main town. A similar settlement is located directly south of the main town in the municipal area of Traiskirchen (Möllersdorf residential estate)
  • Wiener Neustädter Canal. With a three-stage lock system, planned and built by Sebastian von Maillard (1797-1799).
  • Railway line of the Wiener Lokalbahn: The "Badner Bahn" runs as a tram through the Feldgasse. But it is legally a railway and is also operated as such. Rail freaks are particularly happy about the irregular use of heavy freight trains directly on the public road.
