To buy
Eat
The region does not really stand out for its gastronomic specialties; its most famous specialty is jjimdak (찜닭) d'Andong, which consists of chicken in a sweet and sour sauce, spicy, with potatoes and transparent rice vermicelli. You will find restaurants serving this dish in Andong of course, but guest rooms at the traditional Hahoe Village (Hahoe maeul, 하회 마을) also offer them.

Have a drink / Go out
The most consumed drink in Andong is soju well known, but also the sikhye, with the omnipresent chili pepper in Korean cuisine as a special note. Normally milky white, the sikhye here has a pinkish color and a slightly pungent taste. Enjoy with peanuts or pine nuts.
