Haderslev (German Hadersleben) is a Danish City in Jutland in the region of Syddanmark.

Haderslev is close to the border with Germany. Closest major cities on either side of the border are Flensburg, Sønderborg, Åbenrå, Esbjerg, Kolding, Fredericia, Vejle and Aarhus.

Haderslev was founded by the Danish historian before 1200 Saxo Grammaticus mentioned. Archaeological finds go back to the middle of the 11th century. In 1241 the city received market rights.
