Haspengouw is a region in the south of the Belgian province Limburg. The region is known for its rolling landscape, its expansive views and its orchards. The city Sint Truiden is sometimes called the capital of Haspengouw.

Haspengouw is the place for bon vivants. Delicious and delicious regional gastronomy, freshly picked apples and pears… They are an ideal reward after a brisk city walk through the count's Borgloon, a climb up the Truiense abbey tower or a visit to the Grand Commandery Alden Biesen. Or do you prefer a picnic among the orchards or a ride through the enchanting castle country? Incidentally, the Plant, Rose and Vegetable Garden Festival takes place at Hex Castle every 2nd weekend in June and September. You can spend the night in authentic square farms, castle farms or even in a castle. In Tongeren, the oldest city in Belgium, the Roman and medieval past has left a wealth of cultural-historical heritage. You can experience more of this history from 2009 in the Gallo-Roman Museum, which is currently being enlarged. Tongeren also enjoys international fame thanks to its Sunday antiques and flea market, the largest in the Benelux.
Haspengouw was the setting for the television series "Katarakt" in 2007 and has since been very popular with tourists. Especially during the blossom period, many cyclists descend on Limburg. Haspengouw therefore has a large cycle route network that leads tourists past the main sights, or from enjoy the beautiful landscape.
